Attack drones and missiles: Russian army launches combined strike on Ukraine

On the night of September 28 (from 8:30 p.m. on September 27), the enemy launched a combined attack on Ukrainian territory using attack UAVs, air- and sea-based missiles. During the attack, the Air Force’s electronic warfare troops detected and tracked 643 airborne attack assets.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported this.

In particular, the Russians attacked Ukraine:

• 593 attack UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera type and other types of drones in the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation, Chauda, Kacha – TOT Crimea;
• 2 jet UAVs of the “Banderol” type from the Kursk region – Russian Federation;
• 2 aeroballistic missiles Kh-47M2 “Kinzhal” from the airspace of the Lipetsk region – Russian Federation;
• 38 X-101 cruise missiles from the airspace of the Saratov region – Russian Federation;
• 8 Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea.

The main direction of the attack is the capital of Ukraine, the city of Kyiv.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 10:30, 611 air targets were shot down/suppressed by air defense:

• 566 hostile Shahed, Gerber and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles;
• 2 jet UAVs of the “Banderol” type;
• 35 X-101 cruise missiles;
• 8 Kalibr cruise missiles.

Hit by 5 missiles and 31 attack UAVs was recorded at 16 locations, while the fall of downed UAVs (debris) was recorded at 25 locations.

“The attack is ongoing, and there are several hostile UAVs in the airspace. Observe safety regulations,” the military added.

As a reminder, on the night of September 26, Russian infidels launched a massive attack on Kyiv . The aftermath of the enemy attack was recorded in nearly 20 locations across six districts of the capital. People were injured and killed.
