Attack on Aidara military in Dnipropetrovsk region: police detained two suspects

In the city of Kamianske on February 20, at around 4:00 p.m., a conflict broke out between local residents and servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of which law enforcement officers detained two men. During the clash, one of the suspects fired several shots from an object resembling a pistol, and one of the servicemen was injured.

This is reported by the National Police.

According to law enforcement, the suspects provoked a conflict with the military personnel. During the incident, one of the men fired several shots at the military personnel from an object resembling a pistol.

An investigative and operational group and other police units were at the scene. Law enforcement officers inspected the scene and interviewed witnesses and eyewitnesses.

During the first-priority operational and investigative actions, the police identified the participants in the conflict and detained them in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The detainees turned out to be local residents aged 37 and 42.

In agreement with the Dnipro Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the Field of Defense of the Eastern Region, the defendants were informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the detainees is currently being resolved.

It was previously reported that in the Dnipropetrovsk region , unknown individuals attacked servicemen of the 24th separate assault regiment “Aidar”.
