In Ukraine, new power outages have been recorded in several regions due to enemy attacks and bad weather.
This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo.
The company notes that due to drone and artillery strikes, consumers in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were partially left without electricity.
“Due to enemy drone and artillery attacks, there are new power outages this morning,” the report says.
They add that energy workers are already carrying out emergency restoration work where the security situation allows.
Ukrenergo emphasizes that specialists are doing everything possible to restore damaged equipment as soon as possible and restore electricity supply to consumers.
Separately, the company reported an increase in the load on the power system. As of 09:30 on May 27, electricity consumption was 2.9% higher than the previous day.
“Electricity consumption has increased. The reason for the changes is cloudy weather and rain in some regions of Ukraine,” explained energy experts. This has reduced the efficiency of solar power plants and increased the load on the general network.
Ukrenergo also emphasizes the need for economical electricity consumption in the evening hours.
“Please do not turn on multiple powerful electrical appliances at the same time from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM,” the company urged.
In addition to the attacks, some of the power outages were caused by bad weather. Thunderstorms and strong winds left 15 settlements in the Sumy region without electricity. Repair crews are already working to restore power supply where the security situation allows.
