The visit of senior Pentagon officials to Kyiv is not aimed at diplomatic negotiations, but at conducting a military audit to obtain an objective picture of the situation on the front.

This was reported on the air of “Pryamoy” by Ivan Stupak, military analyst, SBU employee (2004-2015).

According to him, the information collected will form the basis of a report for the US political leadership, which may influence further decisions on assistance to Ukraine.

“People in uniform… they are not engaged in diplomacy, they are engaged exclusively in military affairs. I am sure that this is about a certain audit of the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the point of view of guys, please show what you have on the fronts,” Stupak emphasized.

According to the analyst’s forecast, the American military will hold meetings with the Ukrainian command to get first-hand data. They will be shown real evidence: samples of Russian missiles and footage of the destruction of enemy equipment.

Based on the collected data, a report will be prepared for Washington and a short summary for Donald Trump with a conclusion: are there prospects for further support, – emphasized former SBU employee Ivan Stupak.

Recall that the Donald Trump administration sent a high-ranking delegation from the Pentagon to Ukraine to participate in negotiations on possible ways to end the war. The delegation includes US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and two four-star generals.

At the same time, Axios reports that the Trump administration has already held private talks with Russian officials to discuss a new framework for a potential peace plan. Sources say there is a preliminary 28-point document. The Russian side told reporters that it generally views the proposal positively, but is unsure how Ukraine and its European partners will perceive it.

It was previously reported that the Trump administration is working on a new large-scale peace project to end the war in Ukraine and is already preparing to present it as a finished document. Later it became known that Trump’s “peace plan” provides for the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions , as well as the freezing of the contact line in Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.

Meanwhile, NBC News reported that US President Donald Trump has already approved a 28-point peace plan between Ukraine and Russia. The relevant agreements were secretly developed by senior US officials in consultation with Russian Ambassador Kirill Dmitriev and Ukrainian officials.
