August takes its revenge: a wave of late summer heat is coming to Ukraine

After an unexpected cold snap over the weekend, when nighttime temperatures in some regions dropped to almost zero, and snow even fell in the Carpathians, the weather in Ukraine will change again. A noticeable warming is forecast at the end of August – in some regions the air temperature will reach +37 degrees.
This was reported by the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.
At the beginning of the week, Ukraine will still experience cool and unstable weather, with noticeable fluctuations in temperature and atmospheric pressure. However, starting on Thursday, August 28, the situation will change. Hot and dry air will begin to arrive in the country from the southern regions of Europe and Turkey.
The warmest temperatures, as usual, will be in the South, Central Ukraine, and Transcarpathia. The forecast for the end of the week indicates the return of truly summer heat.
On Thursday, August 28, the daytime temperature will fluctuate within +22…+27°C, and in the southern and western regions it will rise to +31°C. On Friday, August 29, it will become even warmer — from +27 to +32°C, and in the west it may rise to +35°C in some places.
The hottest days will be the weekend. On Saturday, August 30, the air will warm up to +35°C. On Sunday, August 31, in the south and east, up to +37°C is expected. In the northern and western regions, it will be somewhat cooler – within +26…+31°C.
Thus, August will end with a heat wave that will cover most of Ukraine. Dry, sunny weather typical of late summer is expected.
