Australia will provide Ukraine with another $100 million in aid for the purchase of critical military equipment. The new support package is intended to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities in confronting Russian aggression.
The additional funding was announced by the Australian Department of Defense.
The agency noted that the funds will arrive in two installments of $50 million over the next 12 months.
This is a continuation of Australia’s participation in the PURL initiative, having previously committed $50 million to the program in December 2025.
“What is happening in Ukraine also matters for the Indo-Pacific region. That is why it is important for Australia to remain consistent and continue to support Ukraine until it achieves peace on its own terms,” said Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles.
The Australian Department of Defense stressed that the new contribution will increase the country’s total assistance to Ukraine to more than $1.8 billion. Of this amount, more than $1.6 billion is military support.
In addition to financial assistance, Australia continues to participate in the international Coalition of the Willing and trains Ukrainian military personnel within the framework of Operation Kudu.
The Australian government stated that the country will continue to support Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.
As a reminder, Germany will finance new deliveries of American weapons to Ukraine for a total of $500 million. Part of the funds will go to air defense ammunition, in particular missiles for Patriot systems.
As reported, at the next meeting in the Ramstein format , Ukraine received new packages of military assistance, and the partners agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of air defense and weapons production.
