Authorities Shield Information About Citizen Portnov Amid Controversy

Didn’t you know? The authorities guard information about citizen Portnov as if it were their private garden.

I asked the Ministry of Defense about the mobilization status of the pro-Russian curator of the legal mafia. Here is their response:

“Information regarding citizen Portnov A.V. does not contain any signs of being a matter of public interest. In view of the above, providing the requested information about citizen Portnov A.V. does not appear possible.”

So, it was perfectly acceptable to publish information about the status of citizen Butkevich — who criticized the government — without his consent, but not about Portnov from the lower depths?

Let’s not forget: Portnov no longer even falls under Ukrainian civil jurisdiction, for well-known reasons.

I’m not talking about the selective application of the law. I’m talking about how every official document coming out of the system only further confirms the particularly close relationship between the top echelons of power and the leadership of the State Bureau of Investigation — and the prosecutorial-judicial mafia.
