Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei congratulated his people on their “victory” over the US and Israel in a speech.
He wrote about this on his page in X.
Ayatollah Khamenei addressed the “great nation of Iran” that had defeated the “Zionist regime” with the words: “The Zionist regime, with all its noise and all its claims, was almost defeated and destroyed under the blows of the Islamic Republic.”
He also declared victory over the United States. The Ayatollah recalled the American strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and noted that such actions “deserve criminal prosecution in international courts.”
Khamenei noted that the US and Israel were unable to achieve victory, and instead received a “slap in the face” from Iran, which attacked the Al-Udeid air base in Qatar.
He also threatened to strike again in the event of “any” aggression towards Iran.
Recall that the United States Air Force attacked Iran’s nuclear infrastructure , including the most protected facility in Fordow.
Iran subsequently fired several missiles at American military bases in the Middle East in response to US strikes on Tehran’s nuclear program facilities.
Earlier, US intelligence reported that strikes on three major uranium enrichment sites in Iran failed to destroy key elements of Iran’s nuclear program . However, the strikes did delay the program’s development by about several months.
