Bad weather is coming to Ukraine: where thunderstorms and strong winds are expected

On Tuesday, June 23, weather conditions are forecast to worsen in Ukraine. Thunderstorms, hail, and gusty winds are expected in several regions.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

According to forecasters, thunderstorms will cover the southern, most western, and central regions of the country during the day. Hail and wind gusts of 15–20 m/s are possible in some places.

Due to the bad weather, a level I danger level — yellow — has been declared. Experts warn that such weather conditions may affect the work of utility, energy, and construction companies, as well as complicate traffic.

“Weather conditions may complicate the work of energy, construction, utility companies, and transport,” the hydrometeorological center noted.

In general, it will be cloudy with clearings in Ukraine throughout the day. Short-term rains and thunderstorms are forecast in most regions, except for the north and northeast.

Significant precipitation is expected in places in Transcarpathia and Prykarpattia. The daytime air temperature will be from 27 to 32 degrees, and in the western and northern regions – 23-28 degrees.

No significant precipitation is forecast for Kyiv and the region. The daytime air temperature in the capital will be 26–28 degrees.
