Bookmakers’ predictions
The main favorite to win the trophy is Ousmane Dembele from PSG and the French national team – his chances are estimated at 1.15. In second place is 17-year-old Barcelona talent Lamine Yamal with an indicator of 5.00. Third on the list of favorites is the leader of Liverpool and the Egyptian national team Mohamed Salah (21.00).
Dembele has the strongest arguments: last season he played 49 matches, scored 33 goals, made 15 assists and helped PSG win the French championship, the Cup and the Champions League.
The current winner of the 2024 Ballon d’Or, Rodrigo Hernández Cascante, better known as simply Rodri, shared his expectations with Manchester City.
“This year I will watch the ceremony on TV, but I hope that one of my teammates will win – Yamal (Lamin Yamal – ed.), Pedri, whoever. This is a celebration of football and let the best win. A Spaniard with the Ballon d’Or for the second year in a row? That would be incredible,” he said.
