The Russians have converted their Molniya UAV into a drone-mothership that can carry FPV drones.
This was reported by military radio technology specialist Sergey “Flash” Beskrestnov.
He noted that in the updated version, reinforced batteries are installed in place of the warhead. In addition, the published photos show a stand on which FPV drones are mounted.
“Flash” emphasized that Ukrainians and Russians have completely different approaches to drones.
“We have dozens of types of wings for a wide variety of purposes. They have the basic Shahed deep strike and the basic Molniya mass cheap wing. With both of them, they conduct experiments on the purpose, control, and application,” he explained.
Previously, the Russians upgraded their Orlan reconnaissance drones so that they could carry FPV drones.
