Battle for Sichneve: The Armed Forces of Ukraine regained control of the village and destroyed the enemy

Ukrainian military forces have completely liberated the village of Sichneve in Pokrovskyi district of Dnipropetrovsk region. During the assault operation, fighters of the 141st separate mechanized brigade destroyed about 50 Russian occupiers, and eight more surrendered.
This was reported on the brigade’s Telegram channel.
A video of the assault actions of Ukrainian soldiers has been released online — it was filmed by fighters of the Shkval unit, which conducted the clearing of Sichneve. The footage shows fierce close combat, clearing of positions, and the advance of our assault troops deep into the village.
“This is not a movie — this is combat work. We are not just holding the defense, we are liberating our land step by step and destroying everyone who steps on it with a weapon,” the brigade said.
The village of Sichneve (until 2024 – Yanvarske) is located in the Velykymykhaylivka community of Pokrovsky district, approximately 120 km from the Dnieper and 100 km from Zaporizhia. The population is about a hundred people.
In September 2024, as part of de-Russification, the village was given its Ukrainian name back.
According to DeepState, the Armed Forces of Ukraine also cleared Sosnivka, Khoroshy, and Novoselivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Currently, stabilization measures are underway in the liberated settlements – checking the territory, clearing fortifications, and sapper work.
The gradual advance of the Defense Forces in the steppe zone is further proof that the initiative remains with Ukraine.
As reported, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Syrsky, reported on the stabilization of the situation in the area of the village of Yampil and on the conduct of shock and search operations in the village to identify and destroy the remnants of enemy sabotage groups.
