Beaten, threatened with weapons and shot: six CCC soldiers will be tried in Kharkiv

The State Bureau of Investigation has completed an investigation into six servicemen from one of the district CCCs in Kharkiv. According to the investigation, they illegally deprived two civilian men of their liberty, beat them, threatened them with weapons, and demanded that they confess to alleged involvement in drug trafficking. The indictment has already been sent to court.

According to the investigation, the military came to a private house under the pretext of public awareness and conscription activities. There, they allegedly introduced themselves as SBU officers and began demanding confessions from two men about the sale of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
When one of the men tried to resist, the military, according to the State Bureau of Investigation, opened fire on him with a combat pistol. The victim received a gunshot wound.
After that, both men were forcibly taken to the CCC premises. There, according to investigators, they were held against their will for a long time, beaten and threatened with weapons. The victims were also demanded to provide the military with certain information.
According to the case materials, one of the men was forced to sign documents. In particular, it was about canceling the deferral from mobilization.
One victim was later released. The other managed to escape from the place of illegal detention on his own.
During the investigation, the State Bureau of Investigation identified six servicemen whom it considers involved in the crimes. Among them is a major who held a senior position in one of the district CCCs.
According to the investigation, it was he who organized the illegal actions and involved military personnel from the CCC security unit, as well as servicemen from other units who were involved in recruiting candidates for military units.
Separately, investigators have established the origin of the weapon used during the incident. According to the State Bureau of Investigation, the pistol used to shoot the victim was a trophy.
The military is charged with illegal possession and carrying of weapons and ammunition, hooliganism with the use of weapons, illegal entry into a home, kidnapping, attempted murder, and torture.
If convicted, they could face up to 15 years in prison. However, the final decision in the case must be made by the court.
We will remind you that after inspections of territorial recruitment centers in Transcarpathia , three servicemen of the Central Military District were informed of suspicion . Two of them hold managerial positions.
As reported, the Odessa Regional CCC and the Joint Police commented on the incident in the Podilskyi district, where on August 3 , an incident occurred with the participation of servicemen of the district CCC and a child, the circumstances of which are currently being established by law enforcement officers .
