Beaver Supermoon: When and where Ukrainians can see it

On the night of November 5, Ukrainians will be able to observe the Beaver Supermoon – the brightest full moon of the year.

As AP writes, the Moon’s orbit around the Earth is not a perfect circle, so it sometimes approaches and sometimes moves away from our planet.

A supermoon occurs when the full moon is at its closest point in its orbit to Earth.

According to NASA, this means the Beaver Supermoon in November will appear 14% larger and 30% brighter.

In 2025, the Beaver Supermoon falls on November 5th. This will be the second of three supermoons of the year, following October and December. On this day, the Moon will be at its closest approach to our planet – approximately 357,000 kilometers.

The Beaver Supermoon will also be visible over Ukraine, weather permitting. It will appear on the eastern horizon in the evening and will be especially noticeable at the beginning of its eastern eclipse—that’s when the Moon appears significantly larger.

The Beaver Supermoon in November can be seen without a telescope. Clear skies are key. The next supermoon is expected in December.
