BEB exposed a network selling counterfeit equipment of world-famous brands

Detectives of the Main Detective Unit of the Bureau of Economic Security exposed a group of individuals who illegally used trademarks of international companies.

As the investigation established, individual entrepreneurs passed off their equipment as originals — headphones, watches, hair dryers, and other goods.

The defendants advertised counterfeits and sold them at discounted prices, delivering them by mail throughout the country.

BEB detectives have already conducted searches in the Kyiv region and seized more than 4,000 units of the product and documents confirming its sale.

“Specialists from the copyright companies confirmed that the seized goods are of low quality, do not meet standards, and were manufactured without the permission of the trademark owners,” the report says.

It was previously established that the copyright holders suffered about UAH 30 million in material damage.
