Former head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak, a week before his own resignation, tried to push for the dismissal of the head of the SBU, Vasyl Malyuk.

This is reported by Ukrainska Pravda.

While NABU detectives and SAPO prosecutors searched his house on Shovkovychna Street, difficult political bargaining and revaluations were taking place at the very center of power. Operation Midas, which was supposed to show the independence of institutions in wartime, actually struck at the very heart of the power vertical and became a challenge for the president as well.

The Ukrainian Press Agency found out that at 9 am, Mykhailo Fedorov, Vasyl Malyuk, Semen Kryvonos and Oleksandr Klymenko arrived at the President’s Office. The publication’s sources claim that Malyuk’s presence was not accidental. Yermak allegedly pressured him all last week, demanding that he resign – because he believed that the head of the SBU “overlooked” the “Midas” operation and did not protect him.

Earlier it was reported that Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak submitted a resignation letter. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced changes in the Office.

We will remind you that the former head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, announced a few hours after his dismissal that he was going to go to the front.
