Today, October 5, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) set a new record and rose by almost 2.7% to $125,245.
Reuters writes about this.
In particular, the cryptocurrency reached its previous high of $124,480 in mid-August amid a more friendly regulatory approach from the administration of US President Donald Trump and strong demand from institutional investors.
On Friday, October 3, the price rose for the eighth consecutive session, supported by the recent rise in the US stock market and inflows into bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Meanwhile, the US dollar weakened on Friday, posting multi-week losses against major currencies, as uncertainty surrounding a possible government shutdown clouded the outlook and delayed key macro data, particularly from the labor market, which is crucial for assessing the state of the economy.
