On Saturday, March 21, Cuba suffered its second power outage in a week, leaving more than 10 million people without electricity.

The country’s Ministry of Energy reported this on social media. “There was a complete shutdown of the National Electric System,” the message stated, in particular.

Just before the March 21 power outage, the country’s state-owned electricity company announced on social media that it expected a power shortage of more than 1.7 megawatts.

The previous nationwide blackout, as reported by “Pryamoy,” occurred in Cuba on March 16 , due to a failure in the national power grid caused by a blockade of oil supplies from the United States.

The US began this blockade at the beginning of the year and has not relaxed it even in the face of the easing of sanctions against Iranian and Russian oil due to the closure of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

US President Donald Trump makes no secret of his intentions to seize the island in order to replace the communist regime.

Earlier , anti-government protests erupted in the city of Morón, Cuba, due to power outages and food shortages . During the demonstration, protesters attacked the Communist Party office and several government institutions.
