Blackout in Russia: part of Belgorod left without electricity
Residents of Belgorod, Russia, said that after a massive missile strike, part of the city was left without electricity.
This was reported by local newspapers.
In Belgorod, street lighting and traffic lights are not working; instead, traffic controllers have taken to the roads.
Some residents were also left without water supply: water intakes stopped due to a power outage.
According to the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, there is serious damage to one of the infrastructure facilities after the attack.
“Dear friends, it’s a bad evening. Belgorod has just been subjected to massive rocket fire. There is damage to the power system,” he said.
It is worth noting that on February 3 , Russia struck the most powerful blow to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure since the beginning of 2026. Electricity generation and distribution facilities came under attack.
