Today, December 30, more than one hundred thousand consumers were left without electricity in several settlements in the Moscow region.
This was reported by Russian Telegram channels.
According to Rosseti Moscow Region, residents of some districts of Ramensky, Zhukovsky, and Lytkarino were left without electricity.
The cause of the power outage is said to be an automatic shutdown at a high-voltage substation. However, some users have reported explosions that preceded the outages, but this information has not yet been confirmed.
According to propagandists’ estimates, more than 100,000 people were left without electricity as a result of the power outages.
The local administration reported that specialists are allegedly already carrying out restoration work. However, repairs may be delayed until the “January holidays.”
In addition, residents of the Moscow region are complaining about interruptions in Internet and mobile communications.
As previously reported, Ukraine has intensified drone strikes on Russian thermal power plants and substations that participate in the transit of electricity in the European part of the Russian Federation, which may indicate a threat of a blackout on New Year’s Eve even in Moscow.
