Blackout in the South: Ukraine Experiences Another Massive Blow

Обстріл Одеси / ДСНС

On the night of December 13, Ukraine suffered another massive combined air strike. This time, the southern regions suffered. For them, it was the most massive attack of the entire Great War with Russia.

The Russians targeted energy infrastructure. The enemy used a large number of attack drones, Kalibr and Iskander-K cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles. This was the first time Kinzhal missiles had flown over the Odessa region. The use of Oniks missiles cannot be ruled out.

The consequences of the shelling are extremely severe. In particular, in Odesa , Russian forces targeted port, energy, gas, industrial, and civilian infrastructure. There is a blackout in the city and surrounding region. Power, heat, and water are missing. The Odesa region is also without power, with 10 substations disabled.

In the Mykolaiv region, villages in the Bashtansky and Mykolaiv districts, as well as critical infrastructure and electric transport in Mykolaiv itself, were left without power. Critical infrastructure in Mykolaiv is running on generators.

In the Kirovohrad region, 19 settlements are without power. Kherson and part of the Kherson region are also without power as a result of the enemy attack.

As a reminder, Russian forces have been attacking Odessa for the second day in a row. Specifically, on December 12, a Turkish vessel caught fire in the port as a result of a ballistic missile strike.
