In winter, Ukraine may again face massive attacks on energy infrastructure. The military warns that it will not be possible to completely cover the sky, so the risk of blackouts remains. At the same time, ready-made shelters, means of autonomous lighting, and mutual support of people can significantly reduce the consequences.

Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of the 429th separate regiment of unmanned systems “Achilles”, told this in a comment to ” News.Live “. He emphasized that with the onset of cold weather, Ukrainians should be prepared for the worst-case scenario.

“Of course, there will be attacks, we won’t have time to cover the entire sky. Rockets will fly in, and unfortunately, “Shaheeds” will fly in as well. We have to work on shelters and caches at all levels: legislative, city,” Fedorenko noted.

He paid particular attention to the condition of shelters. According to him, shelters must not only be created, but also kept ready to avoid their misuse.

The commander called on Kyivans and residents of other cities to take care of generators, batteries, flashlights, and other means of autonomous lighting. At the same time, he emphasized that the most important thing is the awareness of citizens and mutual support.

“We are preparing for the worst-case scenario. And when we are prepared, we can handle the easier scenario with ease,” the military officer added.

Fedorenko also warned of the risks in the event of a possible occupation of new territories. Able-bodied men may be forced by the occupiers to fight against Ukraine. In addition, Russia continues to put pressure on the western borders, approaching the “red lines” in Poland and the EU countries.

Recall that earlier, due to a power shortage that arose after the enemy attack on the Dnieper, the city introduced power outage schedules . Residents were left without power for a total of 12 hours a day.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine extended the Regulation on Special Obligations in the Electricity Market until October 31, 2025. According to this document, the price of electricity for the population remains unchanged – 4.32 UAH/kWh for individual and collective household consumers.
