The Ministry of Education and Science is recommending that schools prepare for possible winter blackouts now and review their school year schedules. The department advises considering postponing some classes to June 2026, extending winter vacations, or switching to a six-day week.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine.
Schools can also switch to two shifts or asynchronous learning to reduce dependence on electricity.
The Ministry of Education and Science is asking educational institutions to download materials for the winter, provide children with paper textbooks, and prepare a 48-hour supply of water and food. Schools should create a single channel of communication with parents and students in case of a loss of mobile communication.
As previously reported, Ukraine has launched applications for a payment of 6,500 hryvnias for citizens who have suffered the most from the war or are in difficult life circumstances.
