MPs are demanding that the government abandon plans to create a Coordination Center for Organizing Reservations for Conscripts. Oleksandr Fedienko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, said that the new structure could complicate the work of enterprises and increase bureaucratic obstacles.

Fedienko reported this on Facebook.

According to the MP, he and his colleagues appealed to the Prime Minister with a demand to reconsider the feasibility of creating the center and refuse to adopt the relevant resolution. In July 2026, the deputies had already raised this issue, and then the resolution was canceled. Now, Fedienko noted, there is a risk of a repeat of the situation.

The deputy emphasized that in the case of abuses during reservations, it is necessary to check specific enterprises and the legality of the decisions made, rather than creating a new body.

“If the current system is not working, it is necessary to improve it, not create new bureaucratic structures,” Fedienko wrote.

He noted that Ukrainian business operates in conditions of war, staff shortages, mobilization, destruction of production facilities, and a significant tax burden. Therefore, enterprises need clear booking rules, transparent criteria, and quick solutions without additional approvals.

This is especially true for the defense industry, energy, transport, communications, and critical infrastructure. According to the People’s Deputy, delays in booking workers can lead to disruption of production, non-fulfillment of state contracts, and reduction in budget revenues.

Fedienko also warned that the creation of a new center with additional powers could return the system to manual control, when another link of coordination appears between the enterprise and the final decision.

“If a company abuses the booking mechanism, respond to specific violations. But do not create additional administrative barriers for the entire business,” he urged.

The MP thanked colleagues from all parliamentary factions who signed the appeal to the Prime Minister.
