The final draft of the bill on the reservation of military personnel with deficiencies in their registration documents unexpectedly excluded the provision that applied to employees of critical enterprises. As a result, the right to reservation now applies only to the defense sector.

This was reported by People’s Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko.

According to him, just before the vote, the pro-government majority removed from the document a provision that would allow critical enterprises to apply for reservation of employees, even if they have problems with military registration.

“That is, the bill allows people who have improperly executed registration documents to be booked for 45 days only in the defense sector. It’s just a mess. Why not leave critical enterprises? Isn’t it unimportant there?” the deputy wrote.

It is not clear why the reference to critical infrastructure was removed. Previously, it was assumed that the reservation option should apply to a wider range of organizations that ensure the stability of the economy, energy and communications.

As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada allowed critical enterprises to book military personnel who have improperly executed documents.
