US Vice President J.D. Vance said that a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia should be based on the current front line.

Vance explained: taking the current line of confrontation, the US will try to find a negotiated solution.

“We will try to find some kind of negotiated settlement that Ukrainians and Russians can live with, where they can live in relative peace, where the killings will stop,” the official said.

At the same time, he noted that the proposals in the peace agreement will likely not satisfy either Ukraine or Russia.

“This won’t make anyone very happy. Both Russians and Ukrainians will probably end up unhappy,” Vance concluded.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump informed European leaders of his intention to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin , and later to organize a trilateral meeting with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

By the way, a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin is scheduled for the end of next week .
