In Kyiv, several Ukrainian artists refused to participate in the New Year’s concert of the “Kvartal 95” studio, scheduled for December 6 and 7. The reason was the corruption scandal related to “Energoatom”, in which the studio’s co-owner Timur Mindich appears.
This is reported by ” Glavkom “.
Recently, star participants announced the cancellation of their performances in the New Year’s program of “Kvartal 95” due to suspicions of the involvement of the studio’s co-owner Timur Mindich in corruption schemes at Energoatom. The investigation is being conducted by detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
Singer KOLA announced her cancellation on social media. In the message, she noted: “Attention! My performance at Vecherny Kvartal on December 6-7 will not take place! Good night.”
The Homin Choir also released a statement regarding the cancellation of its participation in the event. The group’s statement reads: “The Homin Choir will not participate in the Kvartal 95 concert.”
Representatives of singer Nadia Dorofeeva from DodoFamily also confirmed the cancellation of the planned performance on December 6, saying that the performance has been canceled.
Other artists previously announced for the program, including MONATIK, “Antibody”, Pozitiv, Iryna Bilyk, “Drevo” and “KAZKA”, did not publicly comment on their positions.
Following the artists’ public statements, the Kvartal 95 studio published its own statement. In it, the team emphasized that the studio’s work is not related to political or business processes affecting its shareholders. The statement says that the company is “attempting to draw it into political confrontations,” although the studio’s main activity is the creation of humorous content.
The studio noted that the concerts on December 6 and 7 will be held as scheduled. The event’s poster was changed so as not to create additional pressure on the artists who decided to withdraw.
As is known, the largest corruption scandal unfolded in Ukraine during the term of President Volodymyr Zelensky, which engulfed his inner circle and led to resignations and high-profile political statements. The investigation by NABU and SAPO caused significant public resonance and attracted the attention of international partners.
At the same time, journalists published a story about a corruption investigation involving the inner circle of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The publication states that the revelations are already creating political pressure and could affect his international support .
At the same time, after Operation Midas, which exposed large-scale corruption at Energoatom and shook up government offices, a systematic campaign to discredit NABU and SAPO was launched on Ukrainian Telegram . Anti-corruption authorities called the operation one of the most effective in 2025, but in parallel with its successes, a wave of identical posts appeared attacking investigators and prosecutors.
Meanwhile, Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to the head of the President’s Office, said that corruption is an integral part of the modern economy, regardless of the country’s political system. He also reported that the Ukrainian authorities responded promptly to the corruption scandal in the energy sector.
