US Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff said that after trilateral talks between Ukraine, the US, and Russia in Geneva, “tremendous progress” was achieved on the issue of a peaceful settlement.

He wrote about this on the social network X, commenting on the results of the meeting.

According to Witkoff, US President Donald Trump’s efforts to bring the parties to the conflict closer have already yielded tangible results. He stressed that the American team is proud of the work to stop the fighting and reduce the number of casualties.

The special envoy also reported that the parties agreed to inform their leaders about the results of the negotiations and continue working on reaching a potential agreement.

As a reminder, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that during the talks in Geneva, the parties will consider a wider range of topics than during the previous consultations in Abu Dhabi.

US President Donald Trump has reportedly increased pressure on Ukraine to “quickly” reach an agreement with Russia ahead of US-brokered talks in Geneva on Tuesday.
