Ukraine has received the latest tranche of financial assistance from the UK – £752 million (approximately $1 billion). The funds will go towards the needs of the security and defense sector.

This was reported by the Ministry of Finance.

As Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko noted, Britain’s support remains important for Ukraine in times of war.

“I am grateful to the UK Government for its consistent and resolute support for Ukraine in countering Russian aggression in the fifth year of full-scale war. The funding provided is targeted and will be directed to meeting the priority needs of the security and defense sector,” he stressed.

This is about financing within the framework of the international initiative of the G7 countries Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA).

In total, Britain provided Ukraine with three tranches: the first two, worth 1.5 billion pounds, were received in March and April 2025, and the current one was the final one.

The Ministry of Finance explains that these funds are part of a large $50 billion aid package from the G7 countries. The loan will be repaid from revenues from frozen Russian state assets, and the mechanism itself is designed for 30 years.

Recall that the United Kingdom will transfer at least 120,000 drones to Ukraine this year . This is the largest package of drones from London during the entire period of the full-scale war.

As reported, in March 2026, the United Kingdom allocated an additional £100 million to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.
