Britain has warned defense companies supplying weapons to Ukraine about the threat of Russian sabotage.

The UK government has warned the heads of defence companies supplying weapons and other products to Ukraine about the risk of attacks and sabotage by Russian intelligence services.

According to the publication, at the beginning of the summer, British officials held a meeting with the heads of defense companies, during which they informed them of the growing threats from the Kremlin against companies and their employees.

It was not specified which executives were present at the meeting. However, representatives of companies supplying weapons and drones to Ukraine were mentioned.

Potential targets for Russian intelligence include the British-Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems, which produces drones near RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk.

Also under increased scrutiny could be BAE Systems’ Callen-Lenz, which supplies drones for strikes on Russian oil refineries, and MBDA, the maker of the Storm Shadow cruise missile.

The UK became concerned about the threat after German law enforcement officers managed to prevent assassination attempts on the heads of two major defence companies.

British officials believe that Russian intelligence services may be attempting to pressure defense companies that assist Ukraine, including through sabotage, attacks, or intimidation of their employees.
