Britain to produce new OCTOPUS drones for Ukrainian army

The United Kingdom will manufacture new OCTOPUS interceptor drones for Ukraine, which are designed to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities. The agreement was reached during a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelensky and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in London.

As the Ukrainian leader reported in his Telegram, he personally presented a sample of the domestic development to the British head of government. As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to produce the first batch of OCTOPUS drones, which will be tested directly in Ukraine after production.

Zelensky also emphasized that increasing sanctions pressure on Russia is a key step towards bringing real negotiations closer.

“The latest sanctions packages from our partners are of great importance. They should force Russia to sit at the negotiating table,” the president noted.

In addition, the parties agreed on common positions before the meeting of the so-called “coalition of the willing.” The main topics of discussion will be security guarantees for Ukraine, strengthening the air defense system, and the transfer of long-range weapons.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian company “General Chereshnya” introduced a drone capable of countering Russian strike drones , the “anti-shahed”.

It was also previously reported that the American company Auterion announced the successful completion of the Artemis project and the testing of the Artemis ALM-20 long-range kamikaze drone on the territory of the Russian Federation . The company announces the start of large-scale joint serial production in Ukraine, the USA and Germany.
