The United Kingdom will transfer intellectual property rights to the latest Stone Cloak electronic warfare (EW) system to Ukraine, which will allow it to establish its industrial production.

This is reported by The Independent.

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham said that Stone Cloak is one of the best British defense developments, which has already proven its effectiveness in combat conditions.

“Stone Cloak is the best of British national innovation, proven on the front lines. It will play a vital role in ensuring the security of our two countries,” Burnham stressed.

According to him, London will continue to support Ukraine and will not refuse assistance in achieving a just and lasting peace.

The Stone Cloak system is a compact device about the size of a laptop. The UK has previously supplied thousands of such systems to Ukraine, which help make Ukrainian drones less visible to Russian air defenses.

In addition, the British side plans to integrate Stone Cloak into promising models of long-range weapons, in particular as part of the Brakestop project, which involves the creation of inexpensive cruise missiles.

In particular, it is expected that on July 27, the President of Ukraine will make his first official foreign visit after Andy Burnham took office as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. During the meeting, the parties will discuss further military cooperation, as well as visit a naval base where Ukrainian military personnel are being trained. There, they will meet with Ukrainian and British military personnel who participated in the international Sea Breeze exercises.

It was previously reported that the European Union countries have agreed to the participation of the United Kingdom in a €90 billion loan program to support Ukraine . This decision will allow Kyiv to purchase defense products not only from EU countries, but also from British manufacturers.

We will also recall that on July 20, Keir Starmer officially resigned as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, after which the King instructed Labor leader Andy Burnham to form a new government.
