During meetings in Brussels, European politicians are actively discussing the persecution of the opposition in Ukraine and the restriction of their rights. Despite the “crazy Ukrainian lobby”, the European Commission clearly states that Bankova’s actions are thwarting all efforts for the speedy integration of our country into the EU.

This was announced on the air of “Pryamoy” by Sofia Fedyna, a member of parliament from “European Solidarity”.

“Today, I am in Brussels on a training program with a delegation from our parliament and with individual representatives of civil society. And all day long we have meetings with various European parliamentarians. One representative of civil society asked a question about the elections: is the fact that they are not being held not perceived as a violation of the law? And the representatives of the European Parliament emphasized that these things are not discussed because there is a war, martial law, and this is understandable,” Fedyna noted.

At the same time, she informed that during formal and backroom meetings in Brussels, the persecution of the opposition in Ukraine and the restriction of their rights are actively discussed, which directly affects European integration.

“In addition, let me remind you that parliamentarism, human rights, opposition rights, respect for human rights are the basic first cluster of negotiations. And it is interesting that until this cluster of negotiations is passed, negotiations will not open on any other of the 35 points that we have in negotiations with the European Union. And Ukraine is now failing these negotiations with the help of Bankova,” the MP explains.

At the same time, there is a “crazy lobby” for Ukraine in European institutions, while at the same time they clearly state that “the Ukrainian authorities, with their actions, are thwarting all efforts” for the speedy integration of our country into the European Union, Fedyna added.

“An interesting nuance. Whoever meets with us, whatever the topic, everyone directly or indirectly mentions the attempts to destroy the independence of the SAPO and NABU. Some of my colleagues emphasized and thought that this was forgotten in Europe, because we fixed everything – but nothing was forgotten. Bankova herself gave the opponents of Ukraine an argument to beat Ukraine. Those who are favorable to us also remember all this. Because they understand that “a step to the right or a step to the left” – and the current Ukrainian government can still commit such stupid things,” said the People’s Deputy from “European Solidarity”.

As a reminder, on October 15, a meeting of NATO defense ministers began in Brussels . On the same day, a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council and the Ramstein coalition will take place. As military observer Denys Popovych, who is in Brussels, reported, topics related to military assistance to Ukraine are heard in the responses of almost all NATO defense ministers.

Meanwhile, the fifth president and current MP Petro Poroshenko, who is participating in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, noted that Europe is not yet ready to repel Russian aggression . He called on partners to quickly put their economies on military rails, because Russia has been doing this for a long time.
