From June 15, repair work will begin at the Shehyny – Medyka checkpoint, which will affect the movement of passenger transport between Ukraine and Poland.
This was reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine with reference to the Polish side.
According to the Polish Customs Administration, repairs will be carried out on the bus lane in the direction of entry into the Republic of Poland. Due to this, the passage of buses from Ukraine will be temporarily suspended.
“Due to the repairs, the passage of buses from Ukraine to Poland through the Shehyny-Medika checkpoint will not be carried out during this period,” the State Customs Service reported.
The work is expected to last for over a year — until November 2027.
At the same time, the restrictions will only apply to buses leaving Ukraine. Bus traffic from Poland to Ukraine will continue without changes.
“The passage of buses from Poland to Ukraine will take place as usual,” the department noted.
Carriers and passengers are urged to take future changes into account when planning trips and to choose alternative border crossing routes in advance.
