The security service detained a woman who praised the referendum on joining the Russian Federation during the occupation of Kherson.

This was reported by the press service of the SBU.

According to the investigation, the recruit was a resident of the village of Antonivka, which is located near Kherson.

The woman called on residents of the occupied Kherson region to come to the referendum and vote for joining the Russian Federation.

She also praised the Russian military and advocated support for the Putin regime.

After the deoccupation of the right-bank Kherson region, the collaborator left as a displaced person to the regional center, rented housing and “fell to the bottom.”

To avoid punishment, the woman almost never left her apartment, except when absolutely necessary.

SBU investigators located her residence and documented the crimes. The woman was detained.

During the search, the recruit was found to have a phone from which she had been spreading Russian propaganda.

The detainees are charged with Part 5 of Article 111-1 (collaborative activities) and Part 3 of Article 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

In particular, she faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
