The Kremlin said that Russia is not currently planning new humanitarian operations along the lines of the mission conducted in temporarily occupied Oleshki in the Kherson region. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also commented on cooperation with China, preparations for the APEC summit, and the prospects for resuming Russian gas transit through Ukraine.
This is reported by Russian media.
Commenting on the humanitarian operation in Oleshki, Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow highly values the coordination between the human rights commissioners of Russia and Ukraine. He also thanked the United States for its assistance in conducting the mission, specifically noting the role of First Lady Melania Trump.
Peskov reported that Russia is preparing for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit and is expecting a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
At the same time, there is currently no specific information about a possible trilateral meeting between Putin, Xi Jinping, and US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the summit. The Russian leader’s schedule is still being formed.
According to the Kremlin spokesman, Russia and China have a significant amount of cooperation. During the meetings, Putin and Xi Jinping discuss the state of bilateral relations and the international situation.
Peskov also commented on the possibility of resuming the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine. According to him, this will depend on the desire of buyers and the capabilities of sellers, but at the moment it is probably premature to talk about the resumption of transit.
In addition, the Kremlin spokesman stated that Russia has not yet received an official invitation to join the Organization of Turkic States. At the same time, he believes that Moscow’s participation in this organization is appropriate.
Commenting on the US elections, Peskov noted that Moscow is monitoring the electoral process, but considers it an internal matter of the United States.
By the way, US First Lady Melania Trump reported that during the humanitarian truce, almost 800 people were evacuated from the temporarily occupied Oleshki in the Kherson region .
We will remind you that the residents of Oleshki in the Kherson region left the city during a humanitarian operation and crossed the border of Ukraine into the Chernihiv region . To conduct the mission, a regime of silence was established in the Kherson direction, roads were demined, and humanitarian cargo was delivered.
