Can the Russians launch artillery strikes on Sumy? The Center for Countering Disinformation gave an answer

Despite the fact that the Russian occupation forces can reach Sumy with some types of weapons, there is no talk of artillery strikes yet.

This was announced by Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council.

According to him, Ukrainian military personnel working in the Sumy direction noted that there is currently no shelling of the regional center from barrel artillery.

However, Kovalenko emphasized that from the territory of the Kursk region, Russia can reach Sumy with certain types of weapons, in particular, some multiple launch rocket systems.

“As of today, it is not a question of the enemy bringing artillery to the border area of Sumy Oblast, where Russian attack aircraft have entered, and where active battles with our soldiers are taking place,” he summarized.

Let us recall that in June, Russian occupiers fired artillery at the suburb of Sumy , the village of Pishchane, which is located less than a kilometer from the regional center.

It was previously reported that Russian occupation troops are advancing in the Sumy region, in particular , the enemy has reached a distance that allows it to strike the regional center with FPV drones .
