Ukraine’s Pressure Campaign Hits Crimea Hard, Says “Magyar”

Russian forces have reportedly stopped using the key land corridor linking Russia’s Rostov region to occupied Crimea through Mariupol, Berdyansk, and Melitopol for military transport, forcing the Kremlin to reroute logistics and rely on alternative supply lines.
This was announced by the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert “Magyar” Brody.
According to him, since June 7, the Russian command has banned military cargo traffic along the R-280 “Novorossiya” highway on the Mariupol-Berdyansk-Melitopol-Simferopol section.
Magyar claims that this decision was preceded by the active work of Ukrainian drones behind the occupiers’ backs. According to him, cargo traffic in this area has decreased by 71% over the past two weeks.
The SBS commander cited data indicating that about 3,800 trucks used to travel along the highway daily, while at the beginning of June, this figure had decreased to approximately 1,100.
At the same time, Magyar emphasized that this is not about a complete blocking of the route or total fire control over the highway.
“The collapse of traffic is not a blockade. But the current diet of the first land corridor, as a lifeline for the occupation group, is sensitive and effective,” he noted.
As reported, drones of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces struck a bridge in the Chongar area, which connects temporarily occupied Crimea with the Kherson region. The attack damaged the bridge deck, causing the occupation authorities to temporarily block traffic.
As a reminder, in the Chonhar district in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, a bridge was again damaged after a second night drone attack.
