In one of the district territorial recruitment centers in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, a CCC employee, together with the management, humiliated and beat conscripts.
This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.
SBI employees checked citizens’ complaints about beatings, torture, and extortion of money at the CCC in Prykarpattia.
During the investigation, facts of humiliation and unlawful use of force against conscripts were established.
According to the investigation, CCC employees used physical force on a man who refused to undergo fluorography.
“An officer and a soldier took the victim out into the corridor, where one of them forcibly held the victim, and the other struck him at least five times. Later, they took his clothes off and forcibly took him into the X-ray room. At the same time, the defendants did not stop beating the victim and used tear gas, spraying him in the face,” the SBI said.
Ultimately, the victim suffered serious injuries, requiring the removal of one of his organs.
Earlier, in November 2025, the head of the CCC was already informed of suspicion of abuse of power under martial law, which led to serious consequences.
The actions of the manager and subordinate were qualified as torture committed by a representative of the state, under Part 3 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspects face up to 12 years in prison.
As a result of the court hearing, both detainees were taken into custody without the possibility of posting bail.
