Chemical giant KuibyshevAzot catches fire in Tolyatti after attack

On the night of Wednesday, March 11, a series of powerful explosions were heard in Russia as a result of a drone attack. It is reported that the attack targeted two facilities at once – a chemical plant in Togliatti and air defense positions in temporarily occupied Crimea.

According to monitoring Telegram channels, a fire broke out at the KuibyshevAzot enterprise in the city of Togliatti, Samara Region, after the strike. This is one of the largest chemical companies in the Russian Federation, which produces caprolactam, nitrogen fertilizers, and other raw materials for the chemical and textile industries.

At the same time, Crimea is reporting strikes on air defense positions on Cape Fiolent. According to preliminary information, the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft complex may have run out of ammunition or the installation may have been destroyed.

There is currently no official confirmation of this information.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully struck the Russian Kremniy El plant in the Bryansk region using Storm Shadow missiles.

As reported, on March 7 and at night on March 8, the Ukrainian military launched strikes on Russian military facilities, in particular in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
