Child pornography distribution scheme exposed in capital: roommates detained

In Kyiv, law enforcement officers have exposed a woman and her roommate, who are suspected of storing and distributing pornographic materials, including those involving children.

This was reported by the Kyiv police and the Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the investigation, a 46-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man distributed pornographic photos and videos online. Among the materials captured by law enforcement officers were images of the woman’s daughter, who is now an adult.

“The attackers administered several Telegram accounts through which they sold videos to third parties, receiving payment on bank cards, at least since November 2025,” the police said.

During a search of their home, computers, mobile phones, flash drives, recordings, and items were seized that, according to investigators, were used to create and distribute such content.

Both suspects have now been charged under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, including trafficking in child pornography and the production and sale of pornographic materials. They face up to 15 years in prison.

In addition, as part of the investigation, law enforcement officers obtained evidence of the rape of the woman’s minor daughter. The man was additionally informed of the suspicion based on this fact.

The court has chosen the suspects as a preventive measure in the form of detention. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
