Children fell through ice on a pond in Kharkiv: some died

Six children fell through ice on a pond in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv . Two boys died.

This is reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The tragedy occurred on March 12. According to rescuers, a local resident was able to pull four children out of the water .

Two more boys – 17 and 10 years old – died. Their bodies were brought to shore by divers of the State Emergency Service.

Rescuers and psychologists from the service worked at the scene , providing assistance to the families of the deceased children.

The State Emergency Service urged parents not to leave children unattended near bodies of water, especially in the spring, when the ice becomes thin and dangerous.
