Children were poisoned en masse in one of the kindergartens in the Lviv region: what is known

Children with symptoms of acute intestinal infection were hospitalized in the city of Sokal, Lviv region. As of March 29, 10 kindergarten students are in the hospital, and their lives are not in danger.

This was reported by the Lviv region police.

Law enforcement officers established that between March 27 and 29, children aged 4–5 years old with symptoms of acute intestinal infection were admitted to a medical facility in the city of Sokal. All of them are students of one of the local kindergartens.

As of 6:00 p.m. on March 29, there are 10 children in the medical facility, who are being cared for by doctors. There is no threat to their lives.

“They are all under medical supervision, there is no threat to their lives,” the police said.

According to law enforcement officials, information about the case was discovered during monitoring of social networks, after which an investigation and determination of the circumstances began.

A pre-trial investigation is currently underway, expert examinations have been ordered, and law enforcement officers are investigating the causes of the children’s poisoning.
