China and Russia will hold Joint Sea 2026 naval exercises in July in the waters and airspace near Qingdao on the Yellow Sea coast.

Bloomberg reports this, citing a statement from the Ministry of Defense of the People’s Republic of China.

The Chinese Ministry of Defense noted that the training is part of the annual military cooperation plan between China and Russia. According to Beijing’s official statement, the maneuvers are aimed at “addressing security issues and promoting peace and stability in the region.”

Following the completion of the exercises, the navies of the two countries will conduct joint patrols in the Pacific Ocean.

At the same time, the Chinese side did not disclose the exact dates of the maneuvers, nor did it report the number of ships, aircraft, and military personnel that will participate in the exercises.

Earlier, Chinese authorities publicly called on Ukraine and Russia to resume negotiations. Beijing also outlined its vision for this process.
