City Council member found dead in Odessa: police investigating suicide version

In Odessa, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the death of a city council deputy, whose body was found in a car on the morning of April 20 in the Primorsky district.

This was reported by the Odessa region police.

The name of the deceased has not been officially released. However, local media reports that it is Oleksandr Ivanytskyi , who is linked to the former mayor of the city, Hennadiy Trukhanov .

According to preliminary information, the deputy may have committed suicide using a firearm.

An investigative and operational group is working at the scene. Law enforcement officers are investigating all the circumstances of the incident and resolving issues regarding the legal qualification of the case, with subsequent entry of information into the ERDR.
