Shatalov took command of the 37th Marine Brigade in the fall of 2024. During his command, the brigade participated in the liberation of Ivanovka, Zeleny Roshcha, Novokhatskoye, Tolstoy, Poddubny, Zvezda, and Yalta.

During this period, the 37th Brigade’s personnel liberated 84.4 square kilometers of territory, destroyed over 660 pieces of equipment, and killed over 10,400 Russian troops. The brigade also destroyed over 1,100 attack drones.

In addition, the units carried out more than 310 evacuations of the wounded using ground robotic systems and, according to the data provided, saved the lives of almost 2,000 service members.

Shatalov will now apply the combat and command experience he gained in the 37th Marine Brigade to the 30th Marine Corps of the Ukrainian Navy. The corps’ official website confirms that the 37th Separate Brigade is part of it.
