Commander of the RDK Kapustin is alive: the GUR revealed the details of the special operation
The commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps, Denis Kapustin, is alive, and the money that the Russian special services allocated for his liquidation will be used to strengthen the GUR units.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to the GUR, Russian special services ordered the assassination of Kapustin and allocated half a million dollars for the implementation of this plan. Ukrainian intelligence conducted a complex special operation that lasted more than a month, thwarted the Russians’ intentions and saved the life of the RDK commander.
During a report to the head of the GUR, Kirill Budanov, the commander of the special unit Timur reported that the Ukrainian side had also received funds intended for the elimination of Kapustin. According to him, the money had already been directed to support combat and special military intelligence units.
Currently, Denis Kapustin is in Ukraine and is preparing to continue performing combat and special missions. He joined the report via video link and stated that his temporary absence did not affect the effectiveness of the unit’s work.
Kyrylo Budanov congratulated Kapustin on his return and thanked the military intelligence team for the successful conduct of the special operation. According to him, such operations not only disrupt the enemy’s plans, but also work to strengthen Ukrainian forces.
The GUR also noted that they are continuing to work to identify individuals involved in preparing the assassination attempt and other threats from Russian special services.
It was previously reportedthat on the night of December 27, during a combat mission in the Zaporizhia direction, the commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps, Denis Kapustin, known by the call sign WhiteRex, was killed.
