Completely blacked out: Defense Forces strike Mariupol port facilities
The Russian occupation army lost the ability to use the Mariupol seaport after a large-scale operation by Ukrainian forces.
This was reported by the 1st building of the Azov National University.
According to Ukrainian units, the 1st Corps of the Azov National Guard, the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the Central Military District “A”, and the Unmanned Systems Forces participated in the joint operation.
It is reported that several critical infrastructure facilities were hit at once.
“Electrical substations, radar equipment, a control tower, and the port’s repair infrastructure were destroyed,” said one of the participants in the operation.
Tanks with fuel and lubricants and the ship “Lady Augusta”, which is associated with the so-called shadow fleet of the Russian Federation, were also damaged.
As a result of the strikes, the port was completely cut off from power. Reports from Ukrainian units indicate that the logistics of Russian troops in the Sea of Azov have experienced significant complications.
“The enemy’s logistics in the Mariupol direction are significantly complicated,” the security forces reported.
We would like to remind you that since June 6, the Russian occupation authorities have imposed restrictions on the movement of passenger transport and private cars on two main routes connecting Russia with the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and Crimea.
As previously reported, the General Staff reported the destruction of a number of Russian targets. These include an ammunition depot in the Belgorod region and command posts, as well as tanks in the Mariupol area.
