A teenager who was constantly under surveillance by Russian military personnel was returned from the occupied part of Ukraine.
This was reported by the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak.
The 17-year-old spent most of his life under occupation, he said, where danger and fear were a daily reality: constant checks by Russian troops, the risk of saying something “wrong” that could get him or his mother into trouble, and the worry that he might be drafted into the Russian army.
“Attempts to independently travel to his father, who lived in the territory controlled by Ukraine, were thwarted by the strict control of the occupiers. In the end, the boy asked for help. With the assistance of the Ukrainian Network for Children’s Rights team, he was able to complete the paperwork and plan a safe route,” Yermak added.
He said that now the guy is safe, with his family, receiving the necessary help and support, and a new stage in his life awaits him.
“Our fight continues until every Ukrainian child abducted by Russia returns home,” the head of the OP noted.
Let us recall that earlier, within the framework of the initiative of the President of Ukraine Bring Kids Back UA, it was possible to save another group of Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories.
