As of the morning of December 30, as a result of Russian attacks, a significant portion of consumers in the Chernihiv region were left without electricity, and there are also power outages in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo .

“Over the past day, the enemy has continued attacks on energy infrastructure. In particular, the Russians have struck energy facilities in frontline and border regions. As a result, a significant number of consumers in the Chernihiv region have lost power in the morning. There are also fully or partially powerless settlements in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions,” Ukrenergo reported.

It is noted that energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power supply.

Electricity consumption as of 9:30 a.m. Tuesday is 4.5% lower than the previous day. The reason for this is the establishment of clear weather in the western and part of the central regions of Ukraine. In the Ternopil region, 14 settlements remain without power due to bad weather.

Due to the consequences of previous massive Russian attacks, most regions of Ukraine are under power curtailment schedules for businesses and hourly outage schedules for the population.

“In regions where hourly shutdowns are currently in effect, there remains a need for economical energy consumption. Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances as much as possible. If possible, move energy-intensive processes to night hours – after 11:00 p.m.,” the department urged.

We remind you that in Kyiv, emergency power outages are applied in areas located only on the left bank of the Dnieper.
